Sharing the Good News

So, here we are again. At the very end of another first trimester. Tomorrow Suzie will be 12 week along, which means it' officially time to make the news public!!

Now that doesn't mean that nobody knows. We actually broke the news to our family members two weeks ago when they were all here for thanksgiving. And actually, we had Maëlle do the honors.

We had some pictures printed, and passed them to my mom to look at. And in the mist of these pictures were the following:

So there you have it. It's public!! And we're extremely excited about our new addition.

The surprise was almost spoiled though when the pictures accidentally started to flash by on the Apple TV in the living room while everyone was gathered. Good thing Sarah was the only one paying attention!!

An Amazing View

I had my pregnancy confirmation appointment with my doctor last week, and my first ultrasound.  After peeing in a cup, it was confirmed, yep, I am definitely pregnant.  Everything looks good, and my due date is around May 5th.  It's all so exciting.

I had a dating ultrasound Friday, (September 21) and it was so cool. Matt was away in San Francisco for a business conference, so it was just me, but wow.  We have a little Poppy Seed. I got to see the heart beating, and smiled the entire time.  It is so amazing to be doing this for a second time.  It is just as amazing and just as exciting.  Both Matt and I feel so very lucky to have this experience for the second time.

As for our little Poppy Seed, grow baby! Grow!

A Little More Sensitive

Maybe it's a mental thing, maybe it's because I know sooner, but I feel like my stomach and nose have been a little more sensitive this time around.  I've been dealing with a little nausea and upset stomach, although, no vomiting.  For example, right now we are visiting Leah and Sean in Arizona and they made sausages the other day.  Just the smell was enough to curl my hair and gurgle my stomach. I just hope that I have a good first trimester that doesn't involve a lot of trips to the toilet. On another note, still fighting fatigue, but hey, we are on vacation, so naps are plenty. :)

A New Addition

It is hard to believe how much things have changed in the last 2 years.  Of course, you have all met Maëlle and shared all her growing up events, wonders and milestones.  Well, now it is time to share again.  After what seems like hardly any effort, we are....drumroll please.....PREGNANT again!  That's right, two pregnancy tests confirm it, and though I'm yet to go to the doctor, we are fairly certain the baby is due May 2, 2013. By my calculations, I am about 5 weeks along.  Matt and I are both super excited.

We have decided to dub our new little one "Poppy Seed" in honor of the size they were when we discovered their existence. I feel so blessed and overwhelmed, and amazed. How wonderful it is to have these amazing moments of joy and excitement in our lives,  Maëlle is going to be a Big Sister!
